  51.     It reduces the size of the selected area, by moving each
  52.     point on the selection boundary the specified distance farther
  53.     away from the nearest edge of the image.  Feathering is
  54.     preserved, although the shape of feathering may be altered at
  55.     corners or points of sharp curvature.
